I was honored last month to find out that my painting, Pink Peony Buds in Mason Jar, was accepted into The 95th Annual Phillips Mill Art Show. AND my piece was awarded an honorable mention by The Bucks County Herald and sold to a private collector the first week of the show.

It will hang through its entirety, as the exhibit runs through October 27th and is open daily from 1-5pm. The painting submitted belongs to a collection of 10 varieties of flowers in mason jars. So there are others to choose from to add to your home.

I am especially thrilled to be included in this prestigious exhibit because many of the artists who have inspired my work, a group of painters that belonged to the PA Impressionist Movement, started this show 95 years ago.  This group settled in the adorable towns along the Delaware River as an escape from the urban life in New York and Philadelphia.  My great aunt and uncle also  resided in New Hope, PA, through their adult lives and happened to be friends with this circle of artists.  It remains an exclusive show that features artists who reside within the 25 mile radius from the historic mill.
